Who We Are

We are professionals from various fields who are interested in enhancing access to justice, thus we use our experience and expertise in research consultancy to further this interest. We specialise in multidisciplinary research and development studies. We are a rich network of full time and associate consultants providing expertise in specialist areas of legal and institutional analysis, field surveys, quantitative and qualitative analysis. We have gained our knowledge from ten or more years of experience; and have a deep understanding of fields of specialisation including the Zambian governance structures, the education system, the health sector, the legal system, gender and the environment. At Beyond Research, it is our consultancy practice to provide a clear assessment of the study environment in order for the client to understand the conclusions and recommendations to the assignment. Beyond Research is easily distinguishable from its competitors because we apply the following professional principles to our assignments:

What We Do

We endeavour to enhance access to justice in Zambia through the following six strategies:

1. Conduct research consultancy; (for more information see the research page)
2. Educate prisoners and prison officials about human rights through the EPAHR programme;
3. Enlighten community members about their rights through the Street Law programme;
4. Sensitise society about key issues through the Moot Court programme;
5. Assist individuals in accessing legal advice and other services through the Legal Aid Insurance Scheme; and
6. Operate the Legal Aid Clinic at the University of Zambia for those who cannot afford the Legal Aid Insurance Scheme.
